  • PhD Student, London School of Economics and Political Science
  • Research and Policy Director, Economics of Environment and Energy Programme, STICERD
  • Sustainability Advisor, International Growth Centre

I am a climate and development economist, policy researcher, and executive leader working at the intersection of sustainable growth, climate policy, and development across emerging economies in the Global South. I am also a PhD student at the London School of Economics.

At LSE, I direct research and policy for the Economics of Environment and Energy (EEE) Programme and head the Economics of Climate Organisation (ECO), a global research initiative bringing together economists, funders, and policymakers to embed climate considerations into mainstream economic and financial decision-making. As Sustainability Advisor to the International Growth Centre (IGC), I support the organisation's climate and sustainability strategy, lead the development of new country programmes, and provide strategic oversight to initiatives including the India and Indonesia Sustainable Growth Hubs and the Energy Insights and Innovation Lab.

My work spans climate finance, carbon markets, poverty, and the broader economics of sustainable growth. Alongside research, I am deeply interested in building the institutions, partnerships, and research ecosystems that connect academic evidence to public policy.

I am primarily based in London, UK, but spend as much time as I can in India, where my husband and family live, and where, conveniently, some of my work happens too. Whatever time is left goes towards travelling for work or for fun. It is a setup that keeps me perpetually torn between multiple time zones, airports, and homes.
